Accounts & ordering
Who can buy from Alto?
Alto supplies laboratories, academic and commercial research organizations, and qualified B2B partners who resell to research customers. New accounts are reviewed before the first order, and we may ask for details about your organization and intended research use.
How do I open a B2B account?
Complete the application on our B2B Partner page. Tell us about your organization and the compounds you need, and we’ll follow up by email — usually within one to two business days — with next steps and a pricing sheet.
How is pricing structured?
Approved accounts receive a wholesale pricing sheet with volume tiers. Pricing steps down as your regular order volume increases. We don’t publish a public retail price list.
Is there a minimum order?
Minimums vary by compound and are listed on your account’s pricing sheet. If you need a small evaluation order before committing to volume, mention it in your application.
How do I pay?
Orders from approved accounts are invoiced. Available payment methods and terms are confirmed with you during account setup. Orders ship once payment is received unless other terms have been agreed.
Testing & COAs
What testing does every lot go through?
Every production lot is tested by an independent third-party laboratory. A lot must meet ≥99% purity by HPLC before it is released. Lots that fall short are not sold. Read more about our testing standard.
What is on a certificate of analysis?
Each COA identifies the compound, the lot number, the testing laboratory, the test date, the method used and the measured result. The lot number on the COA matches the lot number printed on every vial from that lot.
How do I get a COA?
A COA ships with every order. You can also request the certificate for any lot at any time — use the request form on our COA page and include the lot number from the vial label.
How are the blends tested?
Each component of a blend is verified before blending, and the finished lot is tested again before release. One lot number and one certificate cover the finished blend.
Shipping & storage
How quickly do orders ship?
Orders confirmed before the daily cutoff ship the same business day. Orders confirmed after the cutoff, or on weekends and holidays, ship the next business day. Tracking details are sent by email once the order leaves our facility.
How are products packaged?
Peptides ship as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in sealed vials, packed to protect against breakage, light and moisture in transit. Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature for the duration of normal transit.
How should material be stored on arrival?
Follow the storage conditions on the label and COA. As a general laboratory practice, lyophilized peptides are kept sealed, protected from light and moisture, and stored frozen (around −20 °C) for long-term storage. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation.
Do you ship internationally?
Contact us before ordering for delivery outside the United States. Availability depends on the destination’s import rules for research materials, and the buyer is responsible for complying with them.
What if an order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We’ll replace or credit damaged or incorrect items. See our Shipping & Returns policy for details.
Research use
What does “research use only” mean?
Our products are supplied for in-vitro laboratory research. They are not drugs, dietary supplements, foods or cosmetics, have not been approved by the FDA for any use, and are not for human or veterinary use. Our Research Use Only policy sets out the full terms.
Can you advise on dosing or administration?
No. Because our products are not for human or animal use, we don’t provide dosing, administration or treatment guidance of any kind. Requests of that nature are declined, and may lead to an account being closed.
